Taking initial inspiration from everyday objects, to translate it back into a form for another everyday object. Exploring how our everyday environment can affect aesthetics in the design culture and the design process. The specific teapot, inspired from a collection of dice found in a toy shop, has challenged by its form the functionality of the object in the ritual of tea drinking. Also my involvement into the realisation of the prototype had been an exciting learning experience on mould making and ceramics in general.
The black lines on the main body reinforces the imperfections of a hand made object turning it into a design feature - ornament.
