A personal monument for the domestic environment and a memory box

A bell jar using digital technology to project memories in the format of photographs on the glass

Denying our mortality and especially in times where 'Memento Mori', reminders of it, exist and occur daily in our environment and we become aware of it through the media and not only, the need of a reward and a reminder of the life lived so far through our memories however subtle, emerges. With the specific object used as a new form of a memory box and a personal monument for the domestic environment, it critically comments on the specific anxiety of Western society and gives the opportunity to the user, by interacting and communicating with it, to realise that life worths living, when at the same time acts as a reminder of our mortality due to the references it manifests.
